What is UP ON STAGE?

UP ON STAGE is Penn's only true coffee house and open mic event. It is the first of its kind, offering a venue for students, faculty, and staff to put their talent on display like never before...live, uncut, and in front of who it matters most: their peers.

Playing host to a variety of acts, UP ON STAGE welcomes any and all performers. Some examples of the acts that have previously been on display at UP ON STAGE include: pianists, harpists, poets, guitarists, trumpet players, choir groups, stand up comedians, Scottish dancing, opera singers, jazz bands, rock bands, ballroom dance groups, martial arts performances, acapella performances, and much much more!

UP ON STAGE takes place on the first and third Saturdays of each month during the school year. Starting at 9 pm, the event takes place in Harnwell House's Rathskellar (the basement level) and is a source of great entertainment and great coffee (both of which are free!). A typical evening at UP ON STAGE includes a unique blend of pre-scheduled acts and an open-mic. No matter what night you come, you can be sure to see some great talent each and every time!
